This course is a comprehensive guide to seedling culture technology for vegetable production, covering topics such as the tools and techniques required for successful plug seedling culture, the culture outline for growing high-quality seedlings, the characteristics of high-quality seedlings, and common production problems.

 

This course is part of a series of tehcnique training focusing on vegetale cultivation and poultry feeding,  offered under the Country Pilot Project titled "Sustainable Agriculture and Value Chain Development SSTC Cities Project Pilot Initiative in Nepal".

Professor

Liu Wei is a leading expert in vegetable science at the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences. She has focused the research and promotion of soilless vegetable cultivation technologies. She has conducted in-depth studies on vegetable cultivation physiology, nutritional physiology, stress physiology, and the mechanisms of yield and quality formation. Liu Wei has established soilless cultivation techniques for over 30 vegetable species and developed a range of efficient cultivation models.
