This course is a comprehensive guide to seedling culture technology for vegetable production, covering topics such as the tools and techniques required for successful plug seedling culture, the culture outline for growing high-quality seedlings, the characteristics of high-quality seedlings, and common production problems.

 

This course is part of a series of technique training focusing on vegetable cultivation and poultry feeding, offered under the Country Pilot Project titled "Sustainable Agriculture and Value Chain Development SSTC Cities Project Pilot Initiative in Nepal".

Liu Wei

Professor

Liu Wei is a researcher focusing on protected horticulture and soilless cultivation, working at the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences' Vegetable Research Institute. As the chief expert of the vegetable technology service team and a cultivation position expert of the Beijing Facility Vegetable Innovation Team, she has dedicated her research to the advancement of soilless cultivation techniques for vegetables. Liu has developed over 30 types of vegetable soilless cultivation technologies and created efficient cultivation models like DFT hydroponics, column cultivation, and pipeline cultivation.
