The WFP Centre of Excellence for Rural Transformation (WFP China COE) organizes a comprehensive webinar series on Food Fortification and Nutrition Improvement from May 21 to June 11, 2026. The webinar consists of four sessions in total, providing a collaborative platform for knowledge exchange among developing countries to explore diverse technical solutions for improving nutrition. The four sessions are as follows:

Session I: Food Fortification Against Malnutrition

Session II: Fortification Technology and Approach

Session III: Fortified Nutritional Products

Session IV: Fortification of Widely Consumed Foods

This course is part of Session III: Fortified Nutritional Products. The session aims to connect public health initiatives with industrial manufacturing capabilities by presenting China’s experience in early childhood nutrition and the production standards for international certified relief foods. It is structured around two main parts: Home-level Fortification with YingYangBao (YYB) Programme, and Super Cereal. The first part highlights the critical nutritional window for early childhood nutrition between 6 and 24 months and introduces China's national YingYangBao intervention project and its significant impact on reducing anemia and malnutrition rates in poor rural areas. The second part reviews Super Cereal, a certified fortified food produced from extruded corn, wheat, and soybeans for children aged 3 and above, as well as adults. It outlines the key advantages of its industrial productions system, including stringent raw-material controls and toxin- management protocols required for supplying global emergency relief and school meal programs.

* Participants who successfully complete the course and pass a corresponding quiz will receive a certificate of achievement.
