This course is a part of the Webinar on Digitalized Smallholder Market Access held on May 5, 2024.It outlines the development of China’s electronic grain trading development in three parts: Part I covers the platform’s evolution from traditional auction practices to a unified national trading system. Part II details its major achievements, including contributions to macro-regulation, pandemic response, supply stabilization, production-marketing linkages, and rural revitalization. Part III introduces the platform’s support for advancing Ghana’s agricultural e-trade. Together, these sections provide valuable insights into the digital transformation of agricultural trade.

Wang Xin, Chief Engineer at the National Grain Trade Center of China, has nearly 20 years of experience in grain and oil e-commerce. She has led the research and development of the national grain bidding system, the establishment of the national grain e-trading platform, and the formulation of national standards for grain trading. She has also facilitated policy-oriented transactions totaling more than 900 million tons of grain, making significant contributions to the reform of China's grain circulation system.
